The work of the Division of Academic Affairs is aligned with the TXST Strategic Plan: Hopes and Aspirations High. To support these goals, Academic Affairs has identified areas of strategic focus:

Curricular Analytics

Academic Innovation is currently implementing Curricular Analytics, an evaluation of each degree to minimize complexity and bottlenecks and improve student progression toward graduation.

Academic Affairs created experiential major maps for each major. The maps highlight opportunities to explore careers and gain practical experience in the field.

Minors and Certificates Working Group

This working group recommended removing minor and certificate requirements from Bachelors degrees to support student success and streamline pathways to degrees.

The AI Course Designator Framework gives faculty tools to transparently communicate how artificial intelligence is used in courses providing clarity for students and promoting equitable access to AI.
