If you are appointing a chair of your program self-review committee, please let me know so I can add them to the orientation meeting.
As I clarified earlier, recent state legislation requires Texas public universities to review academic minor and stand-alone certificate programs every five years and evaluate them on several metrics. The first year of the process (2026-2027) involves the development of a self-review report for each minor/certificate. The second year (2027-2028) consists of the actual review conducted by a committee of Texas State faculty.
The following academic units are scheduled to initiate this process.

Attendance at this orientation meeting is critical in order to gain an understanding of the process. The Vice Provost for Academic Innovation, Dr. Jorge Figueroa and the Assoc. Vice Provost for Curriculum and Academic Programs, Dr. Jeff Housman will also be present for the first part of the meeting to provide some context for this review. Please review the attached spreadsheet for any corrections to points of contact or others that should be invited to the meeting. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Sept 18th.
